What exactly did these guys do again? They're a relatively well-known name, but I can't remember any popular titles that came out from them.

I remember them for their sport titles, goal and bases loaded series

>> No.1278853

Rodland (mildly popular 80's screen clearing game like bubble bobble)
Cisco Heat (Outrun like game set in San Francisco)
St Dragon (R-Type like horizontal schmup) Cybattler (Fucking awesome vertical schmup) The Astynax (Bit like Rastan, but two-player)

I'm not going to list everything, but I believe these were their biggest earners.

Oh yeah P47 - The Freedom fighter & P47 aces.
Tetris Plus 1 & 2 are also nice variations of Tetris.

Avenging Spirit is fucking awesome I think its only on arcade unless you don't mind the gameboy version. Its an action platformer where you play a ghost that possesses different characters that have different abilities and shit. Its pretty awesome

I remember them for Brawl Brothers. One of the best snes games my parents ever bought me from a pawn shop as a kid.

Jaleco games felt like Chinese bootlegs of Capcom games.

Any good game released by Jaleco was made by TOSE, but their own in-house games were pure shit.

>> No.1278884

They had a good arcade-themed vertical cute-em up

oh yes, the rushing beat series were pretty decent beat'em ups, I now remember they did tuff e nuff which was a really good fighting game, now that i think about it their games were really good and well made but lacking in character or something

>> No.1279562

Jaleco seemed to be more of a publisher than developer. Half of the games mentioned here weren't actually developed by Jaleco.

>> No.1281660

Oh boy... The Rushing Beat trilogy I know are Jaleco titles, but they aren't known as such in the United States at least. In the United States, they're known as (in chronological order) Rival Turf, Brawl Brothers, and finally, The Peace Keepers.

I have a bit of a history with these games... That fucking hit detection!

Only game I've seen this logo on is R-Type 3.

Carrier wasn't bad.

It really sucks that games with innovative mechanics like the ones in Dragon Seeds and Monster Rancher never lasted long, even into the PS2s life.

>> No.1282035

Rushing Beat, my nigga.

I find them to be a very "C" grade developer/publisher, honestly. Not bad, not good, just terribly, terribly average.

Oh man, I fucking love TOSE. We should have a thread on those guys one of these days.
