In this topic, post your collection for one system that you are most proud of. Please do not post every game for every system you have, limit yourself to one system (or two). Rate each other based on the quality and quantity of the games.

When I think about games, I don't think of myself as a collector. I have lots of games, but I play all of them. Rather, I find myself to have a library of games instead of a collection. Is this an authentic distinction? What do you all think? Are collections and libraries the same thing, or is there a difference?

Pic related; this is my Saturn library. I paid $9 on average for each game.

Half in real life, half online. Thanks for your compliment.

>>1269621

A) NBA Jam is a great game, so don't call it bulk. B) The other sports games came in a lot I got online. The same lot had RE, Herc's, Guardian Heroes, PZ, EJ2, and about a dozen other more common but still great games (like Tempest 2000, woefully addictive). C) I don't have anywhere to get rid of them and I've already used them for donor cases. I gave my dupes to a friend but even he didn't want some shitty NFL games.

You have quite a few games I'm looking to get. I really want Fighters Megamix because I always loved VF2 and Fighting Vipers. Is Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV good? It's a game I see go for pretty cheap as far as Saturn games are concerned. Finally, Die Hard Arcade is another title I want.

>>1269627

Why keep games for a system you don't have? Are you planning to get a Saturn? Otherwise not bad games. D was one of my first horror games. I remember being pissed off at the time limit.

If you're a Romance of the Three Kingdoms guy. Basically, they're all pretty much the same although the Saturn one has the best graphics of any that I own. It's a dry tactical wargame. Fighters Megamix is, IMO, the ultimate Sega fighting game I don't know why they don't do new versions of it even if just with the Vipers. Die hard arcade is also the bomb.

I just noticed you have a US version of Christmas Nights which I didn't even know was a thing. My wife would probably really enjoy that this season.

It's out of date actually, I've got a few new ones since then:
Megaman 64 (CIB)
Paper Mario (CIB)
Yoshi's Story (CIB)
Goemon's Great Adventure (cart only)

also this collection was build up almost from zero because I sold my old N64 with all the games I had, including many classics like SM64. The only one that remained from my original collection is Majora's Mask, I also kept my original OOT and Mischief Makers, but they were stolen by a fat fuck, so I rebought MM, and didn't bother with OOT because I have the gamecube version and OOT3D.

No, Die Hard Arcade is Dynamite Deka. It was localized as a Die Hard game just for the hell of it when it was released in arcades and I'm sure it made more money because of it then they just pretty much ported that US version of Dynamite Deka to the Saturn.

I figured we were just posting games. If you don't, though, definitely buy one. For some reason they're dirt cheap and the quality is stellar.

It's also interesting that you mention Darius 2. I just got Segaia recently (on Genesis) and I own a three-monitor Taito cabinet that is NinjaWarriors but I've had a powerful desire to convert it into a Darius 2. The board is pretty much impossible to find though.

As far as recommendations for games just buy any shooter that's in your price range. I'm sure you know about Radiant Silvergun, Cotton and Twinkle Star Sprites. Of course anything Parodius or Force. That MSX collection has a number of decent shooters as do the Capcom Classics.

Collections and libraries, or whatever terminology you want to use, are definitely different things. Personally I wouldn't play most of what you have but you're not collecting for me are you. As long as you like it good on you.

This is me. My friends think my collection is huge. My family thinks I have too many video games. Then I go here and realize that my collection is merely an ant hill facing mountains.

Yeah...I've seen just the HuCard go for more than that, which is why I'm rather intrigued.

There are knives in the kitchen.

Yeah I actually got really lucky, most of the boxes looked like they had never even been touched before. Better yet, almost every single one of the games looked brand new too! It was well worth the $80 for them all.

My parents even asked me if I really wanted to get rid of them.

note that i've been building my n64 collection ever since it's original release.
i bought shadowgate 64 on release, i shouldn't have bought it, ever.
and i still buy games if i find one that i always wanted, excite bike for example is my latest fleamarket purchase and i bought beetle adventure racing because we needed another four player game, it's not as good as expected though.
also i still need killer instinkt gold and banjo tooie to complete my rare collection, i'm gonna skip on mickey's speedway though.

I'm particular about my N64 collection. I don't like getting loose games, unless I get a really good deal on them. I try and get them with the box at least, so the display better. I could put them in universal cases, but I like the original boxes so much better.

Me again!

Here's a pic of my Saturn imports. English side out, this time. The game on top of the middle column is Keio Yuugekitai Katsugekihen aka Keio Flying Squadron 2.

Sadly, it most likely is no longer with us...
I bought the game center and the system (to replace my four switcher) from a Craigslist ad, god knows what its former owner did to it...
