You can't have 40"+ screens with a CRT. You can with modern TVs and projectors... which need an upscaler to look the best.

But that doesnt help with the input lag and good luck using a light gun.

Or you can save yourself the money and hook up your PC to the TV and emulate instead. Or if your PC isn't in the same room, you could probably spend just as much as you would on a Framemeister to buy or build a dedicated emulation box.

If you want authenticity, go all the way. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and emulate, I say.

It actually does help with the input lag

There are CRT projectors

The viral marketer is back.

This device might actually be useful, if it can line-double 15KHz signals for display on VGA CRTs with sub-millisecond latency. That's theoretically possible, but the viral marketer doesn't actually know the technical details of the hardware he's paid to promote. The name "Framemeister" doesn't inspire confidence - if it's processing whole frames at once then it's a failure.

>processing whole frames at once then it's a failure.

I would like you to explain that further cause it sounds like you meant to say that differently. If its processing whole frames how would that impact performnce in a negative way?

Well done OP. I don't use that shit either.

If it has to buffer a frame then it adds at least one frame's worth of latency. Line-doubling only needs two lines buffered. Two lines worth of latency is small enough that even the most autistic players can't notice it.
