all the big name snes endings gave good feels back in the day, just pick one

my faves were zelda3, SM, ff6, no surprises there

SF2 difficulty 7 ending had a full staff roll with a pretty satisfying tune. it felt good because it came right after you beat dictator on level 7, which was fairly hard

Mega Man 7.

Mixed feelings about some parts of the game, but the ending credits are the best in the series and some of the best I've ever seen.

It's odd. It's a Mega Man game that ends on a more dramatic, serious note. The resolution is pretty grim compared to the credits sequences in the rest of the series.

The Mega Man series music has that triumphant but sad or feeling of uncertainty to it. They're all great. In that scene Mega Man doesn't seem to be certain of what exactly is going on, or what's to come, though he's defeated Wily once again.

X6 has some of the best credits music of any game ever...

Kind of a shame that they didn't really pursue that dramatic turn. It's like Capcom just decided they had made a huge mistake. It could've taken the series in a direction that would've been a great segue to the X series.

I mean, what a twist it would be if Mega Man didn't go out in a blaze of glory taking down Wily (probably the most likely outcome for the classic series) but instead was quietly put down by Dr. Light for violating the laws of robotics?

They sorta did though. Just did it in a subtle way.

In Mega Man 10, Wily ends up giving out the cure to Roboenza because Mega Man learned to show mercy and spare his life by taking him to the hospital. Mega Man actively saved Wily's life. It shows that the characters have developed and sets up future events for Wily to make an actual reform.
