If it wasn't rare or in high demand, then don't you think they'd be getting much lower prices? Don't get mad if you don't want it as much as those people do.

>> No.1240909

>>1240903

This. You can only blame re-sellers so much. People are paying what they think is fair, so the consumer holds just as much (if not more) blame.

>> No.1240914

It's lame, but it's not like you need to buy it to play the game. If you don't like the fact that it's selling for that much, the best thing you can do is not buy it./

It's for resellers.

You buy u 4 copies, then resell them at a markup.

But earfbound shuld b free
But earfbound cost too many money

But earfbohnd
But earfbound

Who the fuck cares. Its going to be like this for a while. Either get over it and pay the prices, emulate (you fuckers say it's the same thing anyways) or be patient and wait till you find it cheap in the wild. Complaining about how other people spend their money is fucking retarded. The people bidding on them are the people like you, looking for hipster cred. Only difference os they have jobs and/or disposable income. You should try it sometime anon.

Please let prices rise. Im almost done playing the copy I got years ago in a thrift store lot and I need to Ebay it so I can buy my mom a kitchen aide mixer for xmas. I would have finished it by now but working all day and taking care of your wife all afternoon.

It's a vicious cycle:

Compare these EB auctions to how many Tron Bonne auctions there are (EB is NOT rare, age != price)

Bullshit. I've found megaman games for like $2. Tons of uncommons and some rare for dirt cheap. Just because you cant find them doesnt mean they arent out there. Gamechasers have found $500+ games for like $10. Protip: if you get the fuck up in the morning instead of 2pm you may be able to find something before resellers get them.

>> No.1246820

Earthbound butthurt threads are hilarious. These games are priced based on supply (fairly large production for an SNES rpg, but nothing compared to modern production runs) and demand (every single hipster faggot with a used SNES). There is more demand.

>> No.1246827

Dirt cheap on Wii-U VC. There's no excuse and even if you don't own a Wii-U, you can still emulate. A loose cartridge is not worth $200 so I'm skipping that bullshit entirely. Feels good playing it on Snes9x GX!

Back in 2009 I sold a copy in a not-so-great condition box that also came with the strategy guide. I posted it on eBay for $150 and didn't even have time to refresh when someone bought it.

The buyer was some video game store in the East Coast. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't need to pay for a moving truck. I really, really wish I would have held out and sold it to someone who would have appreciated it.

Pretty much this:
EB's value is only what someone's willing to pay for it. As long as the majority of EB buyers are willing to pay $200 for it, that's what it's gonna be...until maybe a warehouse of them is found and the price drops like with Jet Set Radio
