So I'm on a bit of an adventure binge right now.
I just beat Myst for the first time ever, and am working on Riven, though I've also recently completed Little Big Adventure 1 and Monkey Island 2.

Long story short, I'm running out of adventure games. Are there any really good ones that you can recommend that aren't already obvious?
I've also beaten I Have No Mouth..., Grim Fandango, the first Sam and Max game, Monkey Island 1, and DarkSeed 1 (no, I'm not doing the second one).

Anything that you could recommend would be great, 'cuz at this rate, I'm running out of them fast.

Full Throttle is very good. I'd definitely recommend that.

Broken Sword, The Longest Journey and Gabriel Knight, though they are quite mainstream.

Sanitarium and Harvester might be to your liking given your previous games.

If you're going to beat the first Dark Seed, you might as well beat it's superior sequel. And your pic is from Dark Seed 2, so yeah.

I just found out about this adventure game and it sounds really interesting. Does anyone know if the gamefaqs guide can act as a translation for the dialogue, or is it a go here then go here sort of thing?

Waxworks.
It's also one of the games with the most realistic gore I've ever seen. There's this one particular scene with a girl with her throat slit that looks like it's straight out of a gore site.
My only gripe with it is the combat, with is annoying at best.

I was also interested as a Kenji Miyazawa fan, but I think it's impossible to play for people that don't speak Japanese. His stories have been translated to countless great films and books, though.

The most interesting enemies were the zombies since you had to hack off the limbs. If more enemies were like that, like slashing off the tongue of those plant hybrids when they lash at you, and smacking away the spears and blades of the egyptian warriors, it would have been much more interesting than attack attack attack attack attack attack attack *hums the game over theme*
