The Talon theme respectfully disagrees with you. I remember 1 not really having much of an engaging story. You were just kinda adventuring.

Save the World, the boss theme, and Burning Blood think otherwise.

The first game you were looking for paradise, but on the way you end up going on many heroic adventures, or you could say a saga.

If riding around on a hover cycle in a destroyed futuristic city while tryng to find and destroy a shield generator with a flaming bird constantly pursuing you isn't engaging then I don't know what is.

FFL3 was my first JRPG and I went through them backwards, but I like the first two the most, even more after playing other JRPG's because a lot of thier mechanics still feel fresh.

Early on, not really. Might as well. All starting monsters suck, but hey, if you get lucky, you could have something decent with some meat combos.
>>1172627
>or you could say a saga.
You sneaky mother fucker.

Also, yeah. FFL3 was like the retarded love-child of FF and SaGa made because I guess americans and possibly japs were too baffled by SaGa 1 and 2 being fairly unconventional.

Also, "the Talon theme"/Another Dimension sucks. It's Steslos that you lot were trying to remember, which is the ACTUAL Talon theme and its actual name in moonland, though it is also associated with Dion and the Rebels in general.

I started SaGa 2 for the first time a few months ago. Didn't know much about it going in so I went with one of each. It was basically a breeze (even Venus and you guys gave me a ton of shit about her being hard) and then I got to the Japanese world and stopped. Not sure if I got stuck or lost interest but what's for sure is whenever I load it up I want to stop playing almost instantly.

Great game but I feel like I "get it" at this point and... well, don't feel motivated to finished.

Pic related, it's a part of FFL2 that I assume I would get to in about an hour if I could be assed to actually play it.

I just do solo human. If you sell your starting weapon and get some armor, the earlygame is much easier, and when you open up the tower you can get plenty of money and power to where you can fight full power Suzaku on an even level.

Very little .... if you do it *right*

It's very easy to get lost as a lot of the mechanics don't work the same way as typical RPGs. Mutants grow traits semi-randomly, while humans require purchases. In all cases, it's very easy to get slammed if you treat it like a traditional RPG. Alternatively, if you take advantage of the flaws in the game, you can slam right through it with almost no grinding at all.
