Anyone round here play rct still? I got into the game massively earlier this year and it's just caught my attention again, but I was never too good at building coasters or maximising space

RCT thread

>> No.1162750

Haven't played it in months but this is just one of those games you do not grow tired of

>> No.1163014

Used to play it all the time

I never really went after objectives

I would go to leafy lake and build the biggest park possible.

Plus I would drown people I saw sitting on broken benches.

But god damn I needed so many handymen to clean up puke, and the security guards were usless, and 5 benches in a row would be broken along with the lamps.

A good way I found for improving mad guests mood was lacing them in a closed off area, with a bunch of food shops etc.

Then I would make the main food court in an area with every single food shop. Made lot's money that way. Someone eat a burger, then I'm thirsty, and the drink stand is right there.

One thing I couldn't understand is when you build the scrambled eggs ride, and it's popular as anything, even when you build the mega coasters, I thought maybe age? I will build a new one, and it's popular again, but only for a little but

someone please post bones wild ride, havent seen it in some time

>> No.1164837

The game is kind of stale and very easy to break if you know what you're doing.

I'd love a new version with updated features and tech.

I still can't do the objectives.
Help

My relation ship with the original RCT is quite sexual. I virtually beat it a few years back with the acceptation of four stages.
Tip: Water rides in desert, go carts every chance you get, bumper cars are good, you only need like 2 security guards ever, I can't prove it but music helps your rides out, its hard as balls to build a good high excitement and intensity coaster but once you do you have it made, if you build a crazy enough hedge maze people can get stuck in it for years at a time 3 years is my personal best, and lastly the second anything crashes can it.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2 were amazing games. However, they needed one thing.

Just one fucking thing.

One. Fucking. Thing.

A fucking speed setting. I'm so good at the game I can meet an objective by a landslide -years- in advance of the deadline, and I spend more time waiting for the stage to end than playing it.
