the only way to avoid is with constant speed boosts .. so you need to take every ramp you can and do some flips.

If you can do this for about 1 minute you will eventually get to the bottom of the mountain where a ranger is waiting with a rifle .

Even if you manage to outrun it, eventually a second one will show up. I've never managed to git gud enough to last much past the second one, but I imagine a third, fourth, and so on will show up and chase you down if you manage to continue outskiiing them.
