It's almost Halloween time!

What is the most frightening retro game you have ever played?

For me it was the original Resident Evil. Nothing since has come close to that game in sheer tension and atmosphere.

Blood really has horror nailed in a lot of places, hell theres still a lot of sprite work I find genuinely unsettling (like the hanging gored bodies)

Only thing that ever scared me though were the Gill beasts, literally prevented me from playing anything outside of the first episode when I was seven years old
