I'm of the opinion the Classic Controller is the best.

>the white ergonomic simplicity of it that puts to shame every overdesigned and man-holden piece of tech to sate and makes it look like it comes from a antediluvian age.
>pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons like the GCN controller.
>small so you can rapid-mash buttons like a NES controller. Yet simultaneously designed in the image of the SNES gamepad.
>glorious octagonal gate that makes anything analogue-controlled exponentially greater.

No unnecessary protruding handles or useless trigger buttons the Pro controllers carry.

Find me a flaw with this.

It's uncomfortable as shit. I've never played LttP, and started on the VC with this controller, and just couldn't take it anymore. My bottom two fingers were floating uncomfortably in the air with nothing to hold on to, and the whole experience kind of ruined playing LttP for me.

OP here, I just realized in the outlining of my posts here that the Classic Controller is by direct relation the amalgamation of all of Nintendo's controllers before it.

Glorious be the Lord God, Jesus Christ, from whom flows all wisdom.

The Classic Controller Pro is much more comfortable to hold than the standard one and it still has all of the good qualities pointed out by OP. It's the best controller I've ever used despite the lack of rumble. I wish they'd kept the design for the Wii U pro controller.

You can't plug it into the console, you need to plug it into the Wiimote which has terrible range and necessitates an specific distance between you and the TV. Other wireless complaints are also valid; battery dependancy and general reliability and response time.

That said, the controller layout of the classic controller is the only good design Nintendo have had since the SNES, it's a good functional design. Ignoring the Wiimote issue I'd r8 it an 8/10. It loses 1 point because it could do with two extra shoulder buttons, and 1 point for the cable protruding from the wrong end of the controller. Factoring in the fact that it relies on the Wiimote, I must subtract a further 5 points resulting in 3/10. All the good design in the world can't make the range problem go away.

inb5 somebody tries to pass "it's not a problem for me" off as an argument for the acceptence of the Wiimote reliability.

The best controllers are the Saturn controller and the PS2/3 controllers, depending on what features you need.

I've used it on another floor in the house wildly waggling for tennis on the console upstairs just to check it out and didn't face any problems. How far away is your console from where you sit to experience drops in the Bluetooth connection?

I still agree with your rating of the controller. The Wii remote is a fucking power drain, I hate having to look for batteries every other time I want to play some SNES game.

Sage because I don't want to bump this thread

As a student in an ergonomics program, I think you meant "the white aesthetic simplicity", not the "white ergonomic simplicity".

Yes, it is white, but no, it isn't even close to ergonomic. Either way, color doesn't describe the ergonomic attributes of an object, thus you surely meant aesthetic.

I'm done.
