The soundtrack for Ys on the PCE is one of the most memorable things in video game history, let alone dungeon music.

The earlier version had, IIRC, Islamic chants taken from a sound sample CD. "Uncompressed" as the sounds were found and then put on a remade composition of it that found all of the instruments and sample used (except the Marimba, according to the video comment)
