I thought the PSX version was pretty decent port of the CPS-3 version gameplay wise. The stands are missing a bit of color, but I think the added story mode is a good trade off. I refused to buy the PSN version because it didn't include the story mode.

I'm looking forward to All Star Battle making it over to North America and Europe, but yeah, not /vr/

Well, it has a pretty damn cool story mode the Dreamcast version doesn't.

It's more accurate sure, but I have no idea why they didn't include that in the latter.

All Star Battle is pretty fun if you're a casual. It's just that people who are experienced with fighting games can see it has a very low skill ceiling.

The PSX version has a very long (as in, you normally won't finish it in one sitting) exclusive story mode which lets you play through the entire storyline of Stardust Crusaders, including every major fight and making you play with all six of the protagonists, short minigames for certain fights (N'Doul and both D'Arby brothers to name a few), and a couple side stories like where you play as Hol Horse against Shadow Dio. It's by far the best story mode in any fighting game I've played.

And as far as emulating the arcade version, I don't have a way to use good controllers to play the game versus mode with my friends. The PSX version is acceptable as far as I'm concerned.
