I've never understood the appeal of these. It's just a lot of people copying sprites. It would be like if I traced something and expected people to be impressed by it.

Some people spend a really long time recreating maps from various games with them. I just don't see the point.

It's no different from any other craft. Knitting and its related arts (crocheting, needlepoint, etc.) is mostly just people copying a pre-made design. And a lot of people make bank doing it.

Well personally i find the calming and its something i do with my girlfriend, she does one i do one while we watch a movie or talk. For us personally it's an intermet hobbie we only do with each other.
