Generally doesn't make a difference, but Mega Man games universally have fucking horrible art compared to Rockman. It's hilarious really. Every bespoke cover illustration is either replaced with repulsive western art or stock art over some cheap background.

It's really almost every single one. The most egregious of all imo is this. It's one thing to redo the art, you think the anime art style will turn off buyers, whatever. But why put the fucking unlockable character front and center, in front of the two you start with?

Japanese box art should always be better unless the US team went HARD. They told the japanese to "tone down" their artwork for the west. Japan has never gave 2 fks about gore violence and nudity, while at the time the west was pretty uptight so far as DnD was devil worship. :/
