The people that think this is better than FF7 are on fucking meth. This is one of the most shallow RPGs ever made, every town is copy and pasted and identical, and the story is the same nonsense as the other Panzer games visually interesting but still nonsense. Would have rather just had a 3rd real Panzer Dragoon game on the system instead of this.

Also the concept is just bad, would I want to watch the enemies get shot instead of just shooting them myself???? This is the same problem I have with the newest Yakuza games, I like RPGs just fine but it really bothers me when these pre-existing action games get turned into them because its usually the same exact game minus the part where you actively participate. Either change it up more radically or just keep it the same, I liked these games for a reason and if I wanted a different genre I would simply just go play something else.

They should have made the game completely without voice or text that the player can understand and presented the story through cutscenes with characters speaking in an unrecognizable language and through visual aspects/puzzles with environmental storytelling.

True, though Sonic Pocket Adventure is still one of the more fun Sonic titles to me, just a shame that 100% completion in it can be such a pain in the ass to do thanks to the time trials and all of those well hidden puzzle pieces.

I think it wouldn't because it had too much going for it that's unique and sets it apart from Sonic's other titles. I mean, the Game Gear Sonic stuff is still more remembered than all of the titles you mentioned, from my experience at least, and it's all quite simple compared to this one, also look at how remembered Sonic Advance is, and this is sort of a build up to that, with Dimps and stuff.

It works as a transition... from 2D to Adventure Sonic, the classic sprite with green eyes and all, it also did the Genesis gameplay on a handheld so much better than any of the previous attempts.
