Honestly on that note, Spyro 2 is the best of the three spyro games.

Short, but side missions and what not actually add to the replay value. In fact it's one of the few I bothered to beat and get the permanent superflame power up

Spyro 2 vastly improved how Spyro controls, physics wise. And adds several abilities too. Levels are more structured as well. But they also added swimming too and instead of sucking it's awesome
