>c'mon bro just drive halfway across the countryside for every goddamn mission
>also you HAVE to use this one car we give you so you'd better hope you don't crash or get shot up during that 15 minute drive
>and you'll still have to keep the vehicle alive for the 5 minutes of actual mission once you've driven there and reached the true starting point

>> No.10990012

it has some annoying missions that take you across the other half of the map. it gets tiring. i may be biased but i like that. it makes the whole map a place where shit might go down. My favourite missions are the missions before san fiero with catalina, where you get to see the gta 3 dude. CJ carries this from the beginning to the end. He is an utter goofball and the game isnt afraid to show it either.

>> No.10990116

one of my favourite moments in san andreas is the drive from the weed field burning mission to san fierro
the van defaults to K-DST and listening to young turks by rod stewart while slowly going from the countryside to the city is one of my core memories
the reason san fierro itself is boring might be because it has no style, specifically no radio station to go with it; you have nigga rap in los santos, coutry shit in the countryside and las vegas goes well with rock stations, but wtf goes with san fierro?
the story also takes a strange turn at that point, all the car shit kinda makes sense since the vato friend already introduced it in los santos, but the blind chink mafia thing and the nerd feud is a bit out of left field.
a surprising amount of mission are skippable here - you don't need to buy the nerd store and I think you only need to do the driving license, not the car missions, meaning you can get to the next city relatively quickly

Its not so bad, I like most of the San Fierro missions but it definitely outstays its welcome, you have to do way too many there before you're allowed to move on. Its also home to the absolute worst mission in the game Supply Lines.

Easily think this is the best GTA game its weird to me seeing everyone shit on it these days.

I think this is a major flaw that's present in almost every GTA game. The first 25% of a GTA game usually has really interesting and fun missions that also progress the main story but then when you reach a new city or island, those missions are put on the back burner and you're introduced to le funny unpredictable psychopaths and their missions are nowhere near as engaging as the earlier ones. This goes on for a while until you suddenly realize you're in the final 10% of the game and they bring back characters from the beginning of the game and everything wraps up way too fast.

i stopped playing once you got to the vegas area. gta 3 was great but these games just got worse after that. complete and utter normie slop. core gameplay gets worse as the game gets more bloated with meaningless shit tier content.
