What's your favorite /vr/ dudebro game?

For me, it's Aggressive Inline for GC/PS2 because rollerblading is cool and totally not gay, dudes.

Its kinda crazy how games like this, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, SSX, and Tony Hawk just don't get made anymore. Is there actually no market for non ball sports games?

I've only heard this term used to describe games like Halo, Gears, and Call of Duty

Skate 4 exists? Maybe? It's hard to tell, being that it was announced at E3 like six years ago when E3 still existed. Outside of that there's Bomb Rush Cyberfunk as well as the actual JSR sequel we're supposed to be getting from SEGA

I guess not to the extent that it would be worth risking a modern AAA budget on it. Those types of games died when the industry bifurcated into either producing massive nine figure AAA games or indieshit, leaving AA games behind, which most of those extreme sports titles were.

Young me loved the Hoobastank song from this game. They had a few big songs in the 2000s, surprised I never see anyone mention them ever anymore, even reminiscently.

PES6. Its a legit good video game aside from being a sports game, gameplay is flawless and if it was a nintendo game it wouldve been up there with mario kart tier titles.

I wish Super Mario got a skateboarding game. I had this killer idea that will never get made.

This game was way better then it should have been.

There is, Tony Hawk 1+2 did very well but it didn't make all the money so Activation decided Vicarious Visions was better off in the Diablo mines.

Aggressive Inline was fucking awesome, I had a playable demo and would play it for hours as if it was a full game. Eventually borrowed the full game from the library and wasn't disappointed. I already loved Tony Hawk games and this was totally on that level

extreme sports aren't counter-culture anymore. kids today are listening to rap, scrolling tiktok and playing fortnite. not saying that's bad, but it's just a different environment from the late 90s/early 00s. if an extreme sport game got made today you would be effectively marketing it towards the same people who bought THPS when it came out, and that's a pretty big gamble desu.

the new Skate game is in open alpha or some shit but it's been like that for many years now, seems like a disaster.

The market for extreme sports games died off in the PS4/XBONE era.
All the zoomer dude bros would rather watch gay TikToks and would rather play CoD and regular sports games.
That's why games nowadays are being catered towards nerdy fags that are only interested in boring Dungeons and Dragons fantasy bullshit games.

Funny thread. I remember this game. It was pretty decent from what I remember. Not as good as Tony Hawk but still alright.

I think this genre of sports as a whole just really declined. Too many overprotective moms raising beta cuck sons so not enough boys interested in sports like this anymore. I am not kidding either I strongly suspect this is playing a huge factor in the decline of extreme sports.

I still skate in my 30's and you have no idea what you're talking about. The amount of times a dumb Gen X/Millennial mom has slapped a helmet on her kid thinking everything is just peachy and would protect him from a 200lbs man freight+training towards him, is immeasurable. A helmet, any padding really, does absolutely nothing when an adult collides with you, you get humbled right quick.
This being said, skate or die, kill all scooterfags, smack a skull or 2 against concrete and get a clue.
Only the flipside zoomers are amazing skaters and BMXers
