Its more Wild Guns/Cobra than Panzer Dragoon since you're only ever moving along a 2D plane. But yes, its one of my favourites and I wish there were more arcade-style games on the N64.

The story is absolutely schizophrenic and despite playing it through countless times I've never fucking understood why Tokyo just suddenly floods with blood for no reason other than an Evangelion reference.

Have you played other games in the genre? Surely you dont think Star Fox is like Duck Hunt, and S&P is much closer to Star Fox than Duck Hunt (still not the best comparison though). It's a really fun genre, just wish there were more

My favorite part of the game is when Airan is yelling at Achi to shut up, and then Achi teleports her to the future and she ends up telling a crying child to shut up instead.
