How do you guys store your old consoles/games that you play sometimes but not daily?
I live in a studio apartment and am looking for a better approach beyond just tossing them all in a giant plastic tub.

Small plastic tubs, bigger than a shoebox. They have them at costco, I have 12 of the stacked against the wall next to me, each has a console (sometimes 2) and related accessories inside.

They're all in cardboard boxes now OP. Mostly under my bed

Do you remember the dimensions?>>10886179
I didn't think about putting stuff under my bed, that's smart. My main issue with shoe boxes is they are good for games, but most consoles won't easily fit in them. I feel like I need something taller.

For the most part, I store them in the cabinets in each of my 4 setups. Obviously not in a studio apartment. But in my home lab I use stackable plastic drawers. Not pretty, but efficient and cheap. Ideal for a poorfag who lives in a shoebox.

I have several plastic tubs that are large enough to hold a console, cables and a controller or two but nothing else. If I'm not going to touch the console for a bit then I put it in the bin. I got some of those metal shelves that you can build to whatever size you need and I use that for the bins so that I don't have to unstack and restack any time I want to grab a console.

They're roughly 17x9x10 (freedom inch units), they're bigger than a shoebox they're just kind of in that general shape. I wouldn't be able to fit a ColecoVision or an Atari in them, but my Famicoms, SFCs, Genesis, Game Boys, etc, etc all fit great with room for cords and shit.

If they aren't being played or I don't plan on playing them soon they go in the Monster Munch box

This probably is the most reasonable approach. I've tried having all in one game console and vintage PC setups for years and it eventually turns into a nightmare. Once I've got a home with proper space I'll do multiple setups near each or scattered in a few rooms but none of this RetroRGB autistic super setup shit. Never again.

I love the design of this stuff. I think part of it has to do with how bad people hate video games and can never give a good reason why

Too bad it takes up too much space
