I find this game overrated. Some might say "this game isn't that loved" and sure, critics didn't care for it, but it feels like many people who had a Gamecube and had this game praise this game so much. I found it pretty boring. Feel free to insult me

I feel like if they added a 2nd button mode, it would be better. I appreciate the attempt to make it one button does everything, but it kinda gets in the way in spots. City trial also made me wish it was just a big 3D open level Kirby game with vehicles you could steal.

Yep, this. City Trial is the actual game and you need friends (or human opponents, whatever) to properly experience it. The main racing game is fine; it has some baller music and some of the courses have excellent MonkeyBall-like abstract atmosphere. But it's not the main thing the game's remembered for.

as a kid, this game is wonderful. It's a sandbox racing game! My friends and I used to load up free run in City Trial and just play around, role play, race. All that.

Adults are going to find this game boring as hell.

Yeah, I forgot how as a kid we would get lost in the game. It felt like we were in the fucking thing, and then instead of just playing the game from point A-B and so on, we would repeat levels, wander around endlessly, role playing as the games characters. Maybe it was just me?
