Ridge Racer Revolution was my second PSX game and it was very dissapointing, so I never gave Rage Racer a chance until recently.
Now it's my favourite racing game. The style is just through the roof.

I beat it two years ago but I had to cheat (I didn't beat it yes I know) through some of the races because they stop the story dead in your tracks and require you to grind for parts and I couldn't be fucked when the random encounters are so tedious in the first place. Also virtually impossible to get through the game without looking up what the stats and parts do because it just increases random shit. Truly the Armored Core of racing games.
