It wasn't that bad, especially if you just rented it for one week. It wasn't broken or malicious. It was just boring.

>It was just boring

And that is actually the biggest crime for the game.
If it broken but engaging you can at least try to overcome the jank and still have fun.
Nothing would justify boredom. Not even Justice League.

This is a Superman game, but you don't even feel super in it.

Nah, it was trash from day 1. The flying physics are garbage and the fly through rings segments (half of the game) are unforgiving to the point of being insane. Only a legit lunatic would have the patience to complete this game without cheats.

I was an easily pleased 9 year old and I thought this game was complete and utter garbage. It taught me the vidya industry can release complete garbage and I was grateful I rented it before buying this pos.

you're a complete retard, fuck off

This was one of my first video games are even I could recognize how shitty it was compared to Star Fox 64 and pilot wings. If it at least had checkpoints I would've actually finished it

What’s crazy is that they made a way better PS1 port and didn’t release it for copyright reasons: https://youtu.be/s8ELdgzA71Q

I think parts of Metropolis looked cool on N64. The buildings, the canal. I wonder why they didn't put up invisible walls like the Gamecube game. The rings were clearly designed to limit how war you can explore on your own.

It really wasn't. The flying sections are satisfying as fuck once you get used to them. The combat is indefensibly bad but with fewer glitches and a world not coated in fog I think people would have enjoyed it more. Game's biggest crime is that shitty cover.

Haha, oh I wish.
>It wasn't broken or malicious.
The game shits itself on any non-ring level in half a dozen ways.

That's why it's bad. A game is supposed to be fun. This isn't fun.

I remember renting SuperMan 64 from Blockbuster and being so confused. I couldn't believe the game was this bad and boring. There had to be some mistake but nope, that was the game. I feel bad for anyone who bought that stinker.

Yes it was, it was buggy and levels were really easy to break

There's a better Superman 64 game.
Not much better, though, but still, that's what it originally should've been.

>flying upside down with the car
This was the only fun part.
