Sonic 3 was the first time Sonic ventured into a realistic setting instead of his past art-deco inspired landscapes that seemed more like fantasy lands within a small universe. Like something inside a crystal ball, a set up.
3 gave us realistic environments that look like real life and Sonoc's sprite was made more 3D. Not to mention the inclusion of the new mysterious rastafari rival.
It was a great time to be alive and experience this for the first time, back then.

What does that even mean? Shitting up the board with endless sonic faggotry is one thing, but at least be coherent in your spamming efforts.

How is Angel Island "art deco"? It looks like a realistic setting, whereas older Sonic titles felt like fantasy boards

How is Sonic art deco?

You're thinking of Sonic & Knuckles dumbass
>>10779542
most people who throw the "art deco" buzzword around don't even know what they are talking about. sonic 1 and 2 are clearly art nouveau, brutalist, and postmodern depending on what stage. The obvious exceptions are the industrial subset of Art Deco in Star Light Zone and Metropolis Zone, but that, like in real life, just amounted to big dials and painting everything metal with a coat of seafoam enamel.

Why are you saying this like it's a good thing?

Sonic 3 does not have many dithered graphics so it's worse as being a Genesisn't """game"""

You're on a retro gaming board. Of course, there are tons of Sonic posts.

I'm not as big into Sonic as I used to be, and can certainly agree that there are tons of goofy posts (mainly people who are way too into the storylines of the 3D games) but are you really stupid enough and arrogant enough to believe that we should stop posting about one of the most iconic retro video game mascots because it triggers you?

Get a grip, dude.

>3D Sonic is ackshually good
>How could the Saturn/32x/Sega CD/Dreamcast be saved?
>What if fanfiction
>This goofy ass black hedgehog is actually a deep character guise
