The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was quite a pleasant surprise I must say. I already liked the original, I wouldn't say it was anything special, but it's not bad either... I had heard nothing but bad things about the sequel though, and while I found the controls to be awkward at first, and found it to be quite cryptic too, reading the manual made it way more straightforward and also fun to play.

It's a MetroidVania/Search-Action title, a simple one really, compared to most others in scope or mechanics, but controlling Spider-Man was fun, its sequel's irredeemable though, fuck TASM 3.

Donkey Kong ‘94 is actually one of my favorite games of all time, and also the best puzzle-platformer ever. I got Dig Dug GB for Christmas recently and it’s also a fun, but challenging game. I think I got to round 25 on the new mode, shame there’s no password system in that game. I played Burgertime Deluxe on Switch online, and it’s pretty good, but not as good as the other two games you mentioned. Maybe it’s because I’m not into Burgertime as much as Dig Dug.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
It's jank, monsters don't have effects and it's the most bare bones Yu-Gi-Oh! video game since it's mostly about big numbers winning, though I like how it tried to focus on card type/attribute, for your to build a deck with equips and fields, but I don't know if the execution's as good as it could be, anyways it's the closest we'll ever have to a proper Duelist Kingdom RPG, so I do love it for that reason alone, and the atmosphere's great.

Goddamnit, I never cared for agility in my entire playthrough. Now I have to grind for hours. There is no other possibilities: they do more damage than the highest possible amount of HP, the attack can't be blocked, AND there is no randomness to their attack (no matter how many times I reset they always do the same attacks in the same order)

FF Legend 2 was good until this point but this final boss rush is a real fuck you. on top of that you can get stuck here if you don't have the item to teleport out, and the entire game is now under earthquake shaking effect even when I exit this place

I did mention those emulation handhelds though, and to me they're the better alternative, Analogue Pocket's not worth the price, but if you consider it only for what it is, not the price, it's a really cool device in what it tries to do and does.

I think the release of PowKiddy's RGB30 helped give the Analogue Pocket some competition, its got a 1:1 screen just like it, likely a better choice.

Actually I found another possibility: the Explode skill works on those bosses in the boss rush, this skill kills all enemies at the cost of the user's life (which barely matters in this game). The thing is however, good luck having a monster with that skill that can act before getting killed by those dragons.... and Mutants seem to learn the skill and unlearn it completely at random.

However.... A monster eating the meat of this dragon will have the Explode skill so then I raped all 3 next bosses with it and I didn't even feel bad about it. I did have to grind agility for hours to survive that first fight though.
