Protip: Download foobar2000 and install the GEP plugin, then download the actual soundtrack files for better sound quality.

Good to know I'm not the only one pissed about this
And then there's also shit like how the 30 minute "Extended" loop is the higher quality one

I have a custom playlist of videogame music and sometimes I can only find a 30 minute to 10 hour loop so I can't add it because it fucks the pacing up. Why is that the only versions that aren't terrible low 240p 15 year old vids with crackling and popping? Why can't these people just release multiple versions one and done and then those longer versions?

Okay true, but you also said some...which implies some are worth it...so how is that cringe?
I honestly think the whole "never give the aux to the video game soundtrack guy" is a real phenomena, but at the end of the day I find it funnier than it being cringe.

>Look for retro soundtrack on Youtube

That's the first problem. Especially if it's something like an NES game when there are other possibilities to listen to the soundtrack.
Turning music into video files just for "convenience", turning mere kbs into hundreds of megs in the process, is dumb.
Start to adopt a responsible data consumption now.

>all popular uploads of the Super Mario Land soundtrack on Youtube are out of key
>this has leaked into other Youtubers using said incorrect songs in their videos, and potentially covers of the soundtrack that are out of key
The worst part is that it's not just this game's music that people are listening to wrong, but it's sequel, too.
