Sup /vr/, I've got a bit of extra money this week and payday is tomorrow. I feel like buying something "new" to play, but I'm not sure what to get. I've got about $40 I'm can spend and I'd like some suggestions.

I'm willing to buy something off ebay/amazon even though the prices are typically pretty higher than I feel they should be for most games.

Got any recommendations for someone who collects mostly Nintendo stuff? I can also buy (super)famicom games if they aren't too dependent on reading the text, my moon isn't as strong as it use to be.

Pulled the image off google.

Garage Sailing.

Literally the most fun you can have looking for video games. I've spent 30 dollars total and have over 100 games.

I did some sailing this summer and turned up with a zapper, a copy of NES Open, and an empty gas tank. This area doesn't have much of anything I'm afraid; which is why I'm looking for a for sure thing from the net.

Try a flea market, then craigslist. If nothing turns up, buy an NES and plays these.

>SMB2
>Cobra Triangle
>Nightmare on Elm. Street
>Dr.Mario
>Rygar

And any Megaman you can get your hands on.

Did the flea market thing too, same deal (well, okay, I got an original Game Boy for $5, but that was it all summer).

I have a NES and I'll look into Rygar and Cobra Triangle, thanks.

It might help if you told us what consoles and games you already own?

I own a NES, SNES, N64, Every rendition of the Game Boy except the Micro, a Famicom clone, a PS1/2, Sega Genisis and Dreamcast as well as other less board relevant consoles.

Listing all the games I own would dump a huge list no one would want to read through, so I'm taking any and all suggestions, preferably lesser known games though (so I guess think lesser known than say, Legacy of the Wizard on the NES).

Famicom/Super Famicom recommendations are also welcome, though I would prefer Japanese games that aren't text heavy.

>Rygar

Curious as to why you added this to the list. Certainly not the worst game in the NES library, but far from one of the best. Maybe you were thinking of Karnov?

Arkista's Ring is a great NES game.

Thanks for the suggestion. That image reminds me of Dragon Quest, but googling it shows that a lot of people compare it to zelda, I'll probably pick this up, and at least one other since it seems pretty cheap on ebay.

Here's another little off beat title, Magic of Scheherazad. It's an action RPG.

Shouldn't be too expensive. I actually got my copy the same time I bought Arkista's Ring.

Play some good old PC RPGs and expand your horizons.

Or go further back and play Ultima IV or a Wizardry and find out how RPGs began at all, since they directly inspired Dragon Quest and the great divergence.

Otherwise, play Dragon Warriors 1-4.

GREAT GAMES, and a fuck ton of content and hours of fun for your NES.

I know all about DQ, but I'll check out some older PC RPGs. Thanks for the suggestions.

This game seems interesting, thanks.

>This area doesn't have much of anything

holy shit are you me. I try about every other weekend to flea markets and garage sales and there isn't anything in my area.

On topic though, if you haven't played it Uniracers is actually pretty good imo
