Anyone here have a DE-10 Nano with a full MiSTer setup? I travel often and it would be convenient for me to just have one device to emulate multiple systems rather than deciding on bringing one system to play on. I was going to get a metal case from Retro Castle, but the heatsinks aren't available for sale at the moment and the passively cooled case on MiSter Addons is sold-out, so I'm probably going to be waiting longer before I end up buying one.

>heatsinks aren't available

nah man just put one on there, it doesnt need to be a specific heatsink for the mister

What systems do you intend to play? If you're just looking to play 2D stuff, an Analogue Pocket would be better if you're planning to play it while traveling.

I've got one with the og style hamburger case. Just a tip though the de10 is not a great system for travel as the HDMI and micro USB ports are a bit fragile. If you can live with that maybe but just keep it in mind. It's the best way to play for sure but maybe for travel a ching-chong emulator might be better, depending on the games you like.

I have a Mister that I use almost daily and I love it. But I've never travelled with it, and what the other anon said about the DE-10 USB ports being a bit fragile is true, and apparently the SD card slot is a bit flimsy too. I'd honestly just recommend a Deck OLED if you travel a lot, its very comfy and emulates everything up to GameCube well.

ebay has plenty of mister fag stuff
etsy also for custom cases that are different looking
mine looks like a starwars prop kek

mister is my favorite computer ive ever built
hot takes:
>raspberry pi 3b+
toaster, sucks balls
>mame
bwahahaha
>retroarch windows 10
bloated, ugly, powerful, bad experience overall
>finalburnneo
windows design language, single window, powerful, looks like software from xp era
werks, but has quirks
>actual hardware
this is the objective best option
but completely ridiculous
either you spent the last decade slowly buying systems/flashcards/ode or prepare for the hardest fucking of your life while your wallet bleeds to death

>tldr;
de-10 is worth it if you
>want crt gameplay
>want arcade pcb but dont have 10,000usd

mister is overpriced right now but honestly worth it just for how no-nonsense the controller UI is. I've tried every other option and nothing is as convenient for living room play and emulator management as the mister interface.

pocket does an ok job
but its like mister 1.5 instead of 4.0

I don't even use a case on MiSTer. I just store it in a small cardboard box when I travel.

No problem! There is a nice iPad 4:3 repurposed screen available on Ali that you could use. Check for resolution of 2048x1536.

You don't need anything other than DE10, USB OTG and the RAM to play every core. The rest is quality of life stuff.

Pretty impressive troll OP. I don't think a single one of them is even slightly suspicious.
