>No other company in the world is now, nor has ever been, licensed to market the Tetris home video game title.
The best thing about this ad is it's a blatant rewriting of history.
Just as the soviets would've had it.

Mario has Heathcliff

Though to be honest, Sonic & Garfield are the better power duo. You have 'gotta go fast' Greg Martin Sonic standing beside the laziest comic character. A great ying and yang combination. It's like chilli dogs and lasagna.

I could never really get into Garfield Lost in the Act as a game. But I always heard the Sega Windows 9X PC port was actually pretty good and contained additional levels? I have never played the PC port. The Sonic game included with that collection is the Windows port of Sonic 3/ S&K/ S3&K, as well as a port of the Saturn puzzle game Baku Baku Animal and I think it has an online feature. I remember seeing this Sonic & Garfield collection on PC game shelves, but never buying it. It's one of those things where I wish I did for the box. These types of shovel ware collections use to be the norm for PC gaming. Basically a bunch of unsold games that get re bundled together to unload copies.

I don't think 'Caught in the Act' is really a bad game. It looks nice, has some good sprite work. As a platformer, not the worst I have ever player, either. Weirdly has the same plot as Gex. And even starts in a graveyard stage.

They aren't technically lying. Andromeda was sublicensing Tetris to Mirrorsoft, Atari Games, Sega and BPS without a written agreement on hand. They finally got their contract on the same day as Nintendo did. Plus, ELORG treated console games and computer games as different mediums, and that's what Nintendo means there as "home video game".

That disc is a cosmic coincidence. Heathcliff was voiced by Mel Blanc, and SM64 Mario was voiced in the beta (through archive libraries) by Mel Blanc.

Heaithcliff and the Super Show were both produced by DiC, and this collection is a lot like the Sonic and Garfield collection in the sense that they are both shovelware for their respected mediums. Even though one is a collection of DVD's for animated series and the other is a collection of budget ware PC ports. I agree that Mario and Heathcliff doesn't quite have the same impact as Garfield and Sonic.
