Been building up my GB and gbc collection lately. Recently played my old favourite Mario's Picross, now playing Picross 2, which is definitely more challenging.
Next up, I'm thinking maybe Flipull or Dr Mario.

I never liked Dr. Mario. It just seemed like Nintendo said "hey, we need a falling block game that we can brand with Mario", and that's what they came up with. All the other decent falling block games seemed to develop organically or have more thought put behind them, tetris, panel de pon, puyo puyo, etc. Columns is cancer though. Columns is the same thing from Sega, they just wanted their own falling block game, but in true Sega style, they didn't market it any where near as well as Nintendo did with Dr. Mario.

What are your thoughts on Yoshi's Cookie?

I’ve been playing Mario’s Picross for the SNES on the Switch’s emulator
Kind of nice to have live translation on my iPad to handle the odd bit of Japanese that I care about

That one I don't mind too much, it's pretty fun, unlike Dr. Mario, but it doesn't have the depth of Tetris, etc.

Fun fact, Google translate says the kanji text in the top hat puzzle screenshot in >>10585928 means "silk pot".
Also getting my phone's camera to focus on a Gameboy colour screen can be a complete pain. So, enjoy those easy translations anon.

Thanks, Yoshi's cookie is another game I've been considering. it's pretty cheap so I might as well add it to the pile.

Paganitzu, an old MS-DOS game from 1990. Has a few sequels, too.
