Zero. Cousin gave me his copy of Turbo as a kid but I didn't really get into these games until much later. My favorite versions are Super and Super Turbo

SF2 Champion edition and Super SF2 for Sega Genesis as a kid. Or rather, my parents bought those. Later on I got some versions in collections.

*technically it's Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition on the Genesis, not just Champion Edition

>> No.10570263

>>10570204
Never bought it once. I think we rented the original and Turbo on SNES, then my brother traded Mortal Kombat for his friend's copy of Super. Only ever emulated it afterward.

>> No.10570371

My first exposure to SF2 was the MS-DOS port of Super when my dad got it and some years later I bought Turbo Revival, dumb kid me learned a lesson then

In order of purchase over the years.
These are versions I officially owned.

Street Fighter II Tiger Handheld
Super Street Fighter II SNES
Street Fighter Collection Disc 1 PS1
Street Fighter Collection Volume 2 PS1
Super Street Fighter II Genesis
Street Fighter II The World Warrior SNES
Street Fighter II Turbo SNES
Hyper Street Fighter II The Anniversary Edition PS2
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix PS3+360
Super Street Fighter II Turbo 3dO
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection PC

What's kind of funny to me is that although ST is my favorite video game of all time I did not officially buy it brand new from Capcom until just recently when I bought the 30th Anniversary Collection.

>> No.10570563

Now this thread is making me want to go buy a SF2 pcb off of ebay. The CPS1 versions are cheap, although 3/4 of them are bootlegs.

Back in the day? Two. Street Fighter II: The World Warrior and Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting.

Did not bother with the other DLC versions until more recent years. Now I have digital copies of all the games on PS4 and Switch.

>resolution so low they had to pad out the image with black lines on the top/bottom to make up the difference
>romsize about a quarter of the arcade version because they cut out half the speech and animation
>sprite size significantly reduced
>character lean/stances weren't even included (like when you walk backwards the characters lean back physically)
>terrible music, FM Synth can't be recreated on the snes sound chip correctly
>best one
hmmmm

>> No.10576419

World Warrior and Turbo on snes.

I could tell the difference. The former had day time backgrounds, shittier sound effects, different character icons and vs portraits, bulkier win/lose fonts, bigger continue counter, and no fake reverb in the audio.

Zero.
I waited for super and by the time it was out, I waited for super turbo.
In the end, the first home conversion I bought was alpha 2.
It was a good game.

>WinRAR is the ZSNES of file archivers
It just works for basic functions. Obviously if there is a lot one is doing, another option may be more applicable. Besides ZSNES isn't that bad. Not my daily driver, but not that bad either.
