Seems like many of these old games had bosses that spawn enemies from their mouths or sometimes other, uh, orifices (EVO?). Lotsa weird catfish and seahorse style reproduction in the 8 to 16 bit era.

Birdos probably have the most shame-filled sex ever, each trying to pretend they're the other. No wonder they end up destroying most of their offspring; it's all part of a cycle of self-loathing and denial that'd make them go extinct if their eggs weren't so damn prolific.

I accept who he is now, but capcom missed a very clear opportunity.

Especially since the virus Roll got infected with in Megaman 10 could have been the catalyst for it.
