Dont worry, hopefully it'll only take you half the time to move beyond the "How can you be doing that? You should do what I do instead" phase

it looks beat up and old so probably not

a gamebit screwdriver is like 3$ on ebay, buy one and find out for sure

Isn't one of the signs of a repro that the label looks too clean?

>> No.10565397

Front sticker looks legit. No back sticker is sketchy. Only way to know for sure is to open it up.

it has the seal, it can't be fake

You just play children's games instead?
I know you've never opened the plastic casing of a console, but the hardware is what is inside the plastic. PCBs and other things that you can learn to maintain and repair and that is more fun and rewarding than simply playing games.
People who don't like hardware are faggots. It's really that simple.

Someone told me to weigh the cartridge. I had a repro of Mega Man 7, and it felt lighter than a normal SNES cartridge. My Link to the Past cartridge weighs the same as my other SNES cartridges.

old style protruding frontend (rare), cast looks correct, correct lockout screws, peeled off backlabel, probably a legit early cart. i'm like 90%+ on that.

Is there a reason to care if somethings a repro beyond muh collection

Its not like it's emulated . It's the same game right ? Not like it has weird new glitches and bugs

>> No.10571252

Chances are it's not a fake. It was a very common game to the point that it would be odd if someone didn't have it in their snes collection

>> No.10571258

>>10564859
not necessarily no. it's also not *that* clean, and could be something like an original board inside of a reproduction shell with a new front sticker.

the bigger red flag is the lack of residue on the back where the sticker should be.

>> No.10571584

>>10571243
depends, if it's an old repro that had to actually cannibalize a cart then it's kind of ass. newer ones are different and mostly fine.

the "real shit" is better when you have a flashcart and don't worry about swapping carts around. You're wearing out the pins by constantly switching out the carts.

then is fake. its a much longer game. should.be heavier than most snes carts.

I do both.
Emulation is great.
Real hardware is great.
