Coomlectors evolved into Goonlectors.

It is over.

There's a thread for this already retard, also this >>10553819
This shit was already unmanageable for years but 2020 was the point of no return. I've been keeping an eye on one ps2 game and it went from a silly amount like 50-80 bucks to almost fucking 200-300 now. Thankfully all coomlectors will be rounded up one day

You say this as if it's a new problem. I remember being unable to find smash 64 or either zelda for a decent price 15 years ago

I thank god every day since I first discovered emulation in the early 00s

If you just want to play them you can just emulate or use a flash cart, actually better in some (most?) cases

A zoomie shitposted this thread again

Every normal person emulates and only OCD auties who like to hoard plastic are prepared to pay very high prices which is why retro vidya became so expensive.

And many people don't realize the vast majority of old games and consoles are just in people's basements and attics in some cardboard box with a huge layer of dust. The stuff you see on ebay or in someone's collection is at most 10% of all existing consoles/discs/casettes etc

Zoomies will emulate rather than buying because they don't have noostaligia with a lot of retro games

Proliferation of ebay

Growth of mainstream collector communities on sites like reddit
GameGrumps/other ecelebs who focused on old games
WATA/Heritage Auctions
Investors entering the market
Articles now saying your old game could be worth hundreds of thousands, as a result of above

It's my childhood collection, minus some games my brother had. KI Gold, Shadows of the Empire, Extreme-G, Rogue Squadron, Majora's... probably some others. He has them. We got those other games too, plus Sculptor's and almost the whole collection as lose carts. eBay and swap meets around 2001-2003 was insane for N64 games.

Zoomies will emulate because they're casual poorfags. But they spend most of their time crying about being unable to afford the toys they want instead of emulating.
