It was fun, had good music/aesthetics and the fact it triggers zoomers obsessed with reddit.

disappointing buildup for the first horror moment while 1's is still legendary. not liking the apartment complex with a million copypaste corridors, not enough daylight and town exploration and pyramid head feels kinda forced

Worst gameplay in the series but best story, it really benefits from being loosely tied to the main plot line.

As for the remake they'll fuck up lighting, tone, voice acting, etc. But I'm willing to be the combat will be the exact same but with lock-on.

Literally everything like obviously. Thing I hate most is aging up James when he's supposed to be 30. Like come on it totally dulls the impact of his character. They removed the subtelty too by having promo materials where its liek DID YOU KNOW HE'S SUICIDAL HERE LETS SHOW YOU where in the original his depression was subtle.

That being said I will just keep my memories of the original and ignore this but it saddens me this will be what Silent Hill 2 is to normies soon
