This pic was part of an experiment to see if Contra gets harder the more times you beat it. I think this is 11 laps through.

Answer was "not really harder, just more random enemies that makes the game lag".

Also did a test run to see if rapidfire stacks. Turns out it doesn't, even though the game keeps track of how many you have.

This probably isn't the best picture, but it gives a hint as to just how many running guys there are after a couple of playthroughs.

Emelia is good since it really eases you in with giving you sometime to explore, unless you are talking about being stuck in the prison in her route.

If so then choose Blue since his quest is straight forward in collecting all of the magic and it doesn't make you go through a starting dungeon.

Zsnes has never given me any problems. It's the emulator standard I've used since 1999. I like the simplistic interface. I've tried other emulators and I just don't like them as much. Plus there is the fact that a bunch of cool romhacks only work with Zsnes. I don't understand the hatred of Zsnes on this board.
