Here are the most slept-on PSX horror games

>Echo Night 1, Echo Night 2
some of the best horror adventure games on the PSX, great graphics, interesting full-3D environments with virtually no reused assets. Voice acting, animations, fun cutscenes, cool puzzles, must-play. It's not super scary though.

>Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
Probably the best RE clone ever made, at least with prerendered graphics. Cool setting, cool story that goes to crazy places, and beauiful pre-rendered backgrounds. Some sources of frustration here and there, but nothing beyond what survival horror usually throws at you.

>Overblood
Early survival horror and one of the most fun PSX experiences I've ever had. Aims far beyond what Resident Evil did only a year before, with character switching, full 3D environments , and JUMPING. The voice acting and story is incredibly awkward and stilted, just like the movement and general gameplay, and it's amazing.

Japanese first person horror about exploring a school, talking to some NPC who wants you to talk to a different NPC, some crazy stuff happens, shit escalates into some Lovecraftian bullshit story, and some other stuff inbetween that I dont remember. Has an English fan patch.

>Yuuyami Doori Tankentai
Sadly, this game doesn't have an english version. It is still one of the best horror video games ever made. It's about three japanese children overhearing urban legends at school, and subsequently trying to 'solve' or otherwise dig into spooky stories. 2D sidescrolling exploration of a huge city, with cozy graphics, cozy music, and cozy adventures to be had.
