>difficult to develop for
>always had the worst versions of games
Can we just admit that everyone would've been better off with Xbox and Gamecube, and we only bought PS2 because of hype?

The only hype was built off the original PlayStation. People wanted to play the next Final Fantasy and Gran Turismo. Who even knew about the Xbox? Nintendo fans would undoubtedly wait for the GameCube because they waited for the N64. Towards the end, the PS2 has the best game lineup. It doesn't matter if you think the hardware was slower or uglier. The games were better and that's all that matters.

Just bought because of MGS2 and GTA3 and 4. Should have bought Gamecube instead for SOVL like Windwaker or Smash Bros.
