Just beat Jet Force Gemini after being unable to beat it back then, despite the trial and error of the tribals rescuing, it easily became one of my fav N64 games.

Great gameplay, level design, and something that I think is often underrated/overlooked: the enemy AI is great!
I didn't mind the tribal collecting, it's a fun challenge. The ship parts, however, were a bit too cryptic, made me look up a guide, but still a great game.
I was lucky enough to have played this back at release, very nostalgic for this one.

This is honestly one of the only bad things about the game. I like the idea around the end game in theory that being exploring new areas in levels you with other characters unique ability and the Jet Pack power to unlock additional levels or sections of levels you couldn't reach before. I think if they would have just kept it at that it would have been fine but tossing the mandatory tribal gathering on top of it was not needed.

I only found the ship part where you have to get a gold medal on the Floyd race on SS Anubis to be cryptic, the other races give you MP bonuses so no reason to do this one unless you somehow got a gold on a first try, the game doesn't even tell you to get all the chips and finish in under a minute either.
My biggest issue with the tribals is that they have zero audio cues to help you find them, at best you might hear them picking rocks in the mines or yelling in pain for being shotted, but besides that nothing to help you with it.

great game with cool atmosphere and amazing soundtrack.
people tend to exaggerate the difficulty of the Tribal rescuing and ship parts quest, it's really not that hard.
