This game's real fun. It has a lot of Chinese bootlegs for some reason. I downloaded one with like 200+ levels or something.

>for some reason
Because it's awesome, also great gfcore

It was one of Namco's first good arcade games.

What surprised me was how much of Namco's arcade output even into the 90s was just swiped shit or little updates. Capcom and Sega's arcade output absolutely shits on theirs despite Namco being even more of an arcade company than the other two pre-Playstation.

They had Pac-Man, Galaxian, Galaga, Dig Dug but beyond that their arcade games were underwhelming and they also got butthurt at Midway's making better Pac-Man sequels than they could.

Galaxian was an important stepping stone to Galaga, but it was too stuck on Space Invaders and just isn't that much fun.

Either way, I wouldn't write off their other 2D games that quickly. Stuff like Tank Battalion, Druaga, Xevious, Baraduke, and Sky Kid were really great games, they just didn't catch on very well outside of Japan. It just feels like between the mid 80s and them slowing down on arcade games in the early 00s, they had a way worse batting average than the other heavy hitters. Valkyrie and Splatter house are a lot of fun, but more in the way a game like Golden Axe is.

Their core 3D franchises (Tekken, Soul, Ace Combat, Ridge Racer) were stellar, though. Really wish Sega had been that focused in the 90s.

I appreciate your honesty. Thank you. The only gf I had into retro action games was fat, with a bit of BPD going on. I hope you enjoy her until she tries to get you arrested or stab you.

I think Namco rested on their laurels a bit too much after their initial success in the arcades. Their output after the early 80's until like their PS1 stuff is shockingly low.

Remember that in early 1990s Poland barely anyone spoke English.

Also try the 4-player romhack, it's mega fun.
