How about stop playing shit games instead. On PS1 AC didn't have a lot of competition but by the time of PS2 there was a ton of way better mecha games. Every other Gundam game is better than PS2 ACs. Hell even western games like Gun Metal and Battle Engine Aquila are better.

Certainly not the best. I was hopelessly addicted to this one because of the autisic and repetetive gameplay. You just blast away at endless and weak drone mechs. Plus it has weird anthropoid animal CPUs that your add to your mech as a part.

I dont understand western mecha design/philosophy.
They are so slow and big, why not just pilot a tank instead?
On the other hand, ac's have the ability to excel at grounded and aerial combat which makes them more interesting and fun to play as.

Yea the battletech mech arent really practical designs. They were basically impractical at the same time they were thought up in the 80s. The idea that a 100ft tall robot of death that can level a city is badass so I think just went with that. It reality any sort of fighter jets with air to surface missles would make quick work of a battlemech if one ever existed irl..

Oratorio Tangram looks nicer for sure, though this is a rare instance where I prefer the Saturn game. It's barely necessary on Dreamcast anyway when you could just play DoA 2 or SoulCalibur or something
