I got a USB version of this at a garage sale.

Does it make emulation more fun?

What kind of a fucking question is that?
>hey guis will being a lazy fatfuck improve my gaming experience?
It’s fucking subjective. Use the hub and figure it out yourself.

I used that one for emulation, as you can see to the bottom right of the monitor. There was a bit of input lag that I could feel, but I still did very well with online fighting games using it.

I can't use ergo keyboards. My typing style assigns B to the right hand and apparently that is not correct.

Depends how much input lag it has. It can vary a lot with these kind of USB devices, some are great, some are shit. Of course you can always use runahead, but from experience, even with a good runahead, an adaptor with less input lag will always feel better.

I remember my friend praising this thing when I let him use it as being very precise. I would think the signal conversion is very basic since it should just be taking one wire and parsing it to a different one, maybe with a small microcontroller doing the lifting (no actual logic, just muxing the different signals so they go where they need to).

It doesn’t really matter, since B can be used with either hand when touch typing.

I have individual ones for SNES, N64 and PS/PS2, and for those systems it is very nice to use real controllers for emulation. I'd like a DC one too, but the one or two games I've emulated worked better with a remapped PS2 controller imo. I have a NES controller that needs a driver still, and I would like a Genesis adapter too.
Pic related, emulated the whole thing using original controller and had a great time.
