Let's be fair, if all that was in one big cozy hub you can see all at once the performance would be unplayably bad. It chugs hard enough already when there's barely anything around. I'm definitely not defending Terrydactyland, but 5th gen level design wasn't so easy. Banjo-Kazooie only pulled it off by making its levels small and simple.

I can't tell if the image is widescreen or not, but it looks like the N64 version to me. Banjo-Tooie was easily among the BEST looking games on N64, the exception being frame rate

For what it's worth the guy who made the redesign admitted it might require render distance fog in order for the frame rate to not chug. But for a dinosaur world, fog actually WORKS aesthetically. The fog wouldn't have looked bad, it would just make the dino world seem bigger and more mysterious
