Hey /vr/, I am going to a place where I will have minimal internet and as I don't have a laptop, I will have to rely on my phone for entertainment.
Please recommend me some games I can emulate on a phone, so snes/gba/psp/ds games that don't require fine controls.

Can't go wrong with SNES RPGs like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series

Advance Wars and the GBA Fire Emblems work quite well on a phone.

I didn't particularly like FF when I tried it before, but I will see about dragon quest

Might grab FE for a replay, though I'd probably try to go for games I didn't play before.

How is the DS one? I have the SNES one and gun hazard won't play well on a phone.

How are the breath of fire games?

Anon enjoy your trip, some of my best times were in a cabin with no internet playing old vidya.

If youve never played it, Chrono Trigger could wind up becoming a glowing lifelong memory. I dont want to oversell it, but i beat it for the first time way after its release and I'll absolutely never forget those 3 days.

Earthbound
Final fantasy tactics advance
X-com
Heroes of might and magic 2/3
Dragon quest 8 or 9 (9 is DS-emulatable)

ScummVM games would be good - Monkey Island 1-3, day of the tentacle.... maybe grim fandango but idk how well that emulates on phone

If you can get a bluetooth controller then super metroid and castlevania sotn are as good as everyone says. Rondo of blood too.

DS is a straight port of FM1. It's a bit simplistic being the first entry in the series, but it's fun and as simple as it is, the story is decently engaging. The customization is more streamlined compared to Armored Core or Mechwarrior, but it makes sense with the amount of mechs you can juggle. OST and atmosphere are great. If you like the concept of a turn based RPG adaptation of Gundam 08th MS without the romance subplot taking up half the runtime it's a great game. Might be worth it to stick FM2 and 3 too on the phone.

For SNES, Super Bomberman 3 is quite playable.
For GBA, there's Super Robot Wars.

I know it's sort of a basic bitch suggestion, but Earthbound and a translated Mother 3 are classics that require no fine controls at all.

also, not retro, but Vampire Survivors is free on the play store and super addicting

Absolutely best phone game is powder. It's a roguelike home reward for GBA but ported to tons of platforms. It's a great easy to jump into and play roguelike.
