they did actually, starting with 4. he stopped using his old moveset because he started hating his dad's side of the family, so he stopped using mishima related moves. but the devs realized people actually didn't like that(despite 4 jin actually being broken) and made an alternate version of him that uses his old moveset.

Jin could be the most top tier character to use in any fighting game ever for all I care, I hated him because he was a lame ass attempt to have a more safe and predictable protag and also his flame pants were gay and looked like some whiny Linkin Park fan crap with the tribal tattoo. Kazuya was awesome because he was everything Ryu wasn't, a badass and edgy anti-hero who gave no fucks. It was one original thing about Tekken to make your main character a guy like that, the tradeoff to Jin being some more typical angst ridden hero nerd is why I hate him.

No. One new character (and two new joke characters if you're into that), balance improvements and GOAT soundtrack versus some graphical downgrades that don't affect gameplay or game enjoyment at all. Arcade T3 is just an incomplete game and worse than the home port.
Arcade Tag1 on the other hand is based.

even devil back then was way cooler than he is now. any time devil shows up in more modern games, he's still wearing kazuya's clothes or when he's naked as he should be, they give him an overdesigned look. for me, simplicity is the name of the game in regards to devil. i'm fine with DJ looking like a tryhard emo dude. that IS jin's style after all if you play it up to the max. it suits his character more, lol.
