This game has the greatest graphics improvement ever. Much better than the Nintendo (NES) version. Instead of a pure blue/black background, the backgrounds have a much better design in them, like mountains, and I really love the backgrounds in World 2-1. Mario and Luigi also look much better, and these graphics are very colorful. Also, in the castles, you can see pictures of Bowser in the background. And the enemies have been redesigned very well too.

Bowser got beat in World 1 by Mario destroying the bridge in some way.

lol. Anyway, what’s happening to Bowser here and what is someone doing to his face?

Killer Instinct 2's Maya appears to be kicking him in the face or at least preparing to do so, for reasons that are unclear

Better graphics on the Super NES revision than the one on the NES, especially with a portrait of Bowser, and a castle window.

The broken brick physics is a valid complaint though, you literally can't break while running without getting stopped by the next brick because it sucks you up instead of bouncing you back down. At least there's a romhack to fix it

lol. Bowser ends up falling into the lava pit whenever Mario reaches something that triggers it. That’s usually the best way to beat him unless Mario has his Fire Flower power up.

The only All-Stars port that I think was well done was SMB2. SMB3 is hit and miss visually and musically. SMB1/LL are just pure garbage.

What makes you say SMB1/Lost Levels is pure garbage on All-Stars? I just want to know.

Smb2 and especially 3 got such a soulless All Stars downgrade

Not that Anon but for some reason they fucked up the physics and when you break a brick it sucks you up instead of bouncing you back down. This is a problem because if there's another brick after the one you broke it stops you. There's a romhack that fixes that:

Seems like an issue only to speedtrannies rather than for funchads.

Being stopped almost every time you break a brick is unfun though. Why would you prefer broken gameplay that's less fun?

I was personally unaffected by the physics changes like the ones mentioned above.

Because you didn't know the gameplay was better in other versions. Anyone who's played the original SMB1 a lot will immediately notice. All-Stars is probably the first version of SMB1 you've played

Too bad it just had to fuck with the physics.

As an 8 year old I noticed the momentum was changed. You must be some kind of faggot who sucks at video games.

At least you get to do the Infinite 1UP Lives trick by bouncing on a Koopa shell in a certain level and at a certain spot.

With the romhack to fix the block bug in SMB1, All Stars is just a straight upgrade on all games

Holy shit, it's literally one small bug from a single value changed that only applies to SMB1 and is easily fixed by a romhack

Yes, I'm sure kids in 1993 played on emulators/flashcarts with patched ROMs

Back then no one cared.
It was fun. Magazine reviews at the time it came out were full of praise. The graphical difference at the time was huge and that was a big thing.
No one at the time really cared about a one-to-one remake. The criticism that it gets nowadays, while valid, is a thing of this era.

Bullshit. 8 year olds are too retarded to notice anything, and you're still retarded even today.
