Peach is my favorite character. I like being a girl.
As for minigame, It's hexagon heat. But I always liked the premise of shy guy says. Shy guy is a real jerk. And when you mess up, your guy is sent into the ocean with no feasible way of getting back to shore. Scary.

Shy Guy Says (MP1 version) is a blast to play with friends. We've had stalemates that have lasted up to 2-3 minutes before. The "hard" version of Destruction Duet (MP2) is also a lot of fun as well.

I really preferred the early GCN games, but Daisy, 3 and the game where you have to move along an icey jaggedy walkway while carrying something to get to an island. I was really good at it while everyone else fell in the water.

Eh, I think it's the music that gets me.
