I remember playing a game where you get to be a 3d smiley face ball. You go around in a maze like arena and try to kill other "bad" smiley face sprites by shooting little balls at them. I don't remember what console it was on.

Do any of you remember its name?

So as not to waste a thread on a throwaway question. . .

The Gameboy version of this game, Faceball 2000, is noteworthy for being the only commercial release game to use (rudimentary) 3d graphics, and the only game with support for up to 16 players simultaneously in a multiplayer match, via daisychained link cables. I propose this be a thread for games that pushed hardware to the limits.

I'll just leave this here.

I remember a game in which you would pilor a giant metal spider shooting lazers and transforming into a jet at will. The objective was always so protect some allies or to kill an endless horde of enemies. Can anyone help with the name?

I have no idea what it is, but just based on your description I want it.

"Giant metal spider" reminds me of the Ghost in the Shell PS1 game, but I don't remember transforming.

How old is this game? Perspective, system?
