Duke was always a joke. He's a parody of hard-boiled action movie heroes. Not like he's a bad character, just a different type than Contra guys.

Close but no cigar. Firearms are less high-T than traditional melee weapons.
I nominate Simon. He's a true warrior and can kill Death itself. Can't get more high T than that.
